Andrews Public Library issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.

The Book Contest deadline has been extended to Friday, February 24!!! One prize of $25 for the winning entry in each age group will be awarded. 

Calling All Student Artists! One Dozen Who Care, Inc., in collaboration with Nantahala Regional Library and its branch libraries, invite students in kindergarten through 12th grade who live in Cherokee, Clay, or Graham Counties to create a bookmark for the Purel Miller African American Book Collection (PMAABC) which is housed at Andrews Public Library and the Black History Month Reading Challenge which promotes the PMAABC.
