The cost of in-state tuition at Southwestern Community College decreased by 14.3% for the 2022-23 school year, based on the most recent information available, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

North Carolina residents paid $2,229 to attend the public two-year college this year, a reduction of $372 from the $2,601 charged in the 2021-22 academic year.

Non-resident students were charged $7,221 in tuition for the 2022-23 year, which is 224% higher than the in-state rate. This amount reflects an 8.7% decrease from the $7,913 tuition fee in 2021-22.

Approximately 97% of the undergraduate student body at the college consists of North Carolina residents, while about 3% come from other states.
