County of Cherokee Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.

Local business owners and service providers- here’s a great opportunity to promote your business to area residents and support a great cause.

The Rotary Club of Murphy hosts two major events each year to raise funds for our local scholarship program- The Poker Run and Golf Tournament. We give out over a dozen $1000 scholarships to local students every year. We can no longer find Christmas trees to sell, so these two fundraisers are more critical than ever.

Sponsorships begin at $100 which gives you two signs at the event you are sponsoring. We are also looking for items for swag bags, a great chance to get your promotional items out there to local people!

Sponsors who support both events for $500 or more receive a 10% discount. Please contact this page, Sherry Raines, Tim Radford or any Rotary Club member for more information.
