Former Franklin High School standout Avery Moffitt played on Saturday, May 10 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division II Softball Championship

On Saturday, May 10, former Franklin High School standout Avery Moffitt’s current collegiate team the North Georgia Nighthawks won 6-4 against the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.

The game took place at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium at 5:45 p.m. and was the third matchup against the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears in the tournament.

The North Georgia Nighthawks’ next game will take place on Thursday, May 15 at 1 p.m. at FMU Softball Stadium.
