On Friday, April 4, former Murphy High School standout Annie Kate Dalton’s current college team, the East Carolina Pirates, won 5-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Memphis Tigers.

The game took place at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Tigers this season.

The Pirates’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at 1 p.m. at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium against Memphis Tigers.
