Graham County Health Department issued the following announcement on Feb. 19.

Dating violence is more common than you may think, especially among teens and young adults:  1 in 3 U.S. teens will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from someone they’re in a relationship with before they become adults.

And nearly half (43%) of U.S. college women report experiencing violent or abusive dating behaviors.

If you’re concerned about your relationship, or if you have questions about healthy dating, @loveisrespect is here 24/7.

You can also reach out to our nurses here at the Health Department if you have any concerns or questions. 828-479-7900
