Harris Regional Hospital will host a free Lunch & Learn seminar focusing on the connection between nutrition and colorectal health. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM in the Easton Board Room at Harris Regional Hospital.

Sydney Fischer, a dietitian with credentials MS, RN, LDN, will lead the session. The discussion will cover how nutrition affects gut health and digestion and offer strategies for preventing colorectal cancer. Participants will gain information on fiber-rich foods, essential nutrients, and lifestyle choices that promote colon health and reduce cancer risk.

The seminar aligns with National Colorectal Health Awareness Month in March, which aims to emphasize the importance of regular screenings for colorectal cancer and other related conditions. Conditions like colorectal cancer can develop without early symptoms but can be mitigated through regular screenings, a high-fiber diet, proper hydration, and an active lifestyle.

A complimentary meal will be available for attendees. Due to limited space, registration is necessary.

For reservations, contact Lillian Ferguson at lillian.ferguson@lifepointhealth.net or call 770.776.7291.
