Harris Regional Hospital is set to host a free Lunch & Learn event on Thursday, July 24, 2025. The session will run from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Easton Board Room and will focus on diabetes and nutrition.

Christopher Zion, HHS Culinary and Nutrition Solutions Director for Harris Regional and Swain Community Hospitals, will lead the event. He aims to discuss how simple food choices can aid in managing diabetes, support blood sugar stability, and enhance overall well-being.

Attendees can expect to gain practical advice on creating healthier meals and understanding the impact of food on the body. The goal is to help participants incorporate sustainable habits into their daily routines.

“Offering events like this helps us connect with our community in meaningful ways,” said Ashley Hindman, CEO of Harris Regional Hospital. “Diabetes education is vital, and when we can deliver that education in a setting that’s welcoming and easy to understand, we make it easier for people to take charge of their health.”

The event is open to everyone interested in learning more about diabetes management or making better dietary choices. A complimentary lunch will be provided, but seating is limited.

For reservations, contact Lilly Ferguson at 770-776-7291 or lillian.ferguson@lifepointhealth.net.
