Macon County Schools issued the following announcement on March 6.

Congratulations to the eight high school student teams selected as finalists for the 2023 #NCJrChef Competition!

 The teams will showcase their culinary creativity with their school lunch entree recipes in the state cook-off next month. 

– Apex High (Wake County Public Schools)

– Ashe County High

– Brevard High (Transylvania County Schools)

– Franklin High (Macon County Schools)

– Havelock High (Craven County Schools)

– Northern High (Durham Public Schools)

– Swain County High

– Weaver Academy (Guilford County Schools)
