Macon County School issued the following announcement on Aug. 14.
Macon County Board of Education will meet virtually beginning at 6:00 pm on August, 16th 2021.
The meeting will be closed to the general public and will be live-streamed at www.macon.k12.nc.us.

Due to the rolling 14-day Covid positivity rate of 37.98%, the Macon County Public Health Director has requested that the Macon County Board of Education hold a virtual meeting tonight rather than an in-person meeting. Therefore, the Macon County Board of Education will now meet virtually beginning at 6:00 pm. The meeting will be closed to the general public and will be live-streamed at www.macon.k12.nc.us
Anyone who planned to speak during public comment, should email their comments/concerns to Renee Burt at renee.burt@macon.k12.nc.us
Any emails received today will be read aloud during the meeting.
