County of Macon issued the following announcement on Mar. 14.
Macon County Public Health received notification that four Macon County residents, over 65 who were diagnosed with COVID-19, have passed away. To protect the privacy of the families, no additional information will be released. This brings Macon County to one hundred and eight (108) deaths related to COVID-19.
“Please keep your thoughts and prayers with these families” said Health Director, Kathy McGaha.
McGaha continued, “We have seen a significant decline in COVID-19 cases; however, residents can continue to protect themselves by receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and booster if eligible.”
