Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Mar. 22.
In the coming weeks, the yellow splendor of thousands of daffodils will liven the local landscape and signal that despite chilly temps, our community is OPEN FOR BUSINESS as we approach the Spring season. For the past two years, the Cashiers Area Chamber Retail Roundtable has coordinated a bulk purchase of more than 2,000 bulbs to be planted in the Fall. The business group works to promote the local destination shopping experience and increase sales in the Cashiers Area by creating visual statements of coordinated efforts.
These include "Fall Bundle," "Village Lights," and other decorations/lighting, custom Cashiers flag and doormat, events and publicity, both printed and digital editions of the Cashiers Area Shopping & Dining Guide, related contests and more.

"I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A Host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze ... For oft, when on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude: And then my heart with pleasure fills, and dances with the daffodils."
