In honor of Library Card Sign-Up Month, September's contest is a Shelfie Contest! Full details are below and in the attached image.
Shelfie Contest
September 8-29, 2022
Age Groups: 0-7, 8-12, 13-18, 19+
What is a shelfie? It’s a selfie with a bookshelf!
The Challenge: Take a shelfie in front of your favorite bookshelf at your local library. Bonus Challenge: Include your library card (the logo side) in your shelfie.
Email your shelfie along with your name, age, and library branch to brwysl20@gmail.com by Thursday, September 29 at 11:59pm. By submitting your entry via email, you are giving permission for your shelfie to be shared on Facebook. Note: You will receive a reply to your entry email. If you don’t, contact your library or Bridget at 828-837-2025. That’s the letter L in the email address not the number 1. If you need assistance sending the email, library staff will be more than happy to help.
Library staff will vote on all the entries blind (no names). There will be one winner in each age category at each branch. If there are less than 10 entries at each branch, entries will be voted on as a whole across the library system with one winner in each age group. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, October 4 on Facebook and prizes will be available for pickup at the libraries on Wednesday, October 5.
