Free Webinar with information about the Public Seevice Loan Forgiveness
Wed, October 5, 2022
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM EDT
The U.S. Department of Education has announced a major update to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program that makes it easier to access debt relief.
For a limited time, borrowers can get credit toward PSLF for past periods of repayment that wouldn’t ordinarily qualify under the rules of the program.
Under the limited PSLF Waiver, borrowers can now get credit for past periods even if the payments were: short, late, on the wrong type of loan, or on the wrong repayment plan.
To date, over 175,000 borrowers have been approved for over $10 billion in federal student loan forgiveness through the waiver.
If you haven’t already applied for PSLF, you must submit a PSLF form and/or consolidate your non-Direct federal student loans by October 31, 2022, to get the benefit.
Join us as we discuss the PSLF program, and the steps borrowers need to take to make sure they get credit under the Limited PSLF Waiver.
You can also learn more about the waiver at StudentAid.gov/pslfwaiver.
Over $12 billion have already been approved for forgiveness, find out if you could be next!
