On Sunday, March 9, former Smoky Mountain High School standout Tate Stewman’s current college team, the Western Carolina Catamounts, lost 4-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Winthrop Eagles.

The game took place at Terry Field. This was their second matchup against the Eagles this season.

The Catamounts’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at Catamount Softball Complex against North Carolina Central Eagles.
