Surry County GOP schedules three candidate forums for January 2026

Three candidate forums organized by the Surry County Republican Party are set to take place in January 2026 at the Surry County Government Services Center. The first forum is scheduled for January 8, focusing on candidates for county and city commissioners as well as school boards. The second forum will be held on January 13, featuring candidates for sheriff, clerk of court, and district attorney positions. The third event is planned for January 20 and will include candidates running for the North Carolina State House, State Senate, State Supreme Court, and any national-level offices.

All forums will begin at 7 p.m. According to organizers, these events aim to provide voters with an opportunity to hear directly from individuals seeking public office in upcoming primary elections.
