Town of Franklin issued the following announcement on March 6.
Macon County Transit is offering a timely and affordable shuttle service to and from select Appalachian Trail locations.
The shuttle service will begin on March 6th and continue to May 26th.
The shuttle will run from Monday thru Friday three times per day.
The fare for the transportation to and from the trail is $5.00 per boarding/per person.
We will pick up or drop you off at any location in Franklin.
If transportation is needed before March 6th or after May 26th, you must call our office at (828)349-2222 to schedule a pick up.
