On Thursday, March 20, former Union Academy standouts Riley Griffin and Savanna Brooks’ current college team, the Wingate Bulldogs, won 8-5 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Catawba Indians.
The game took place at Whitley Softball Field. This was their second matchup against the Indians this season.
The Bulldogs’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at 1 p.m. at Red Edmonds Field against Tusculum Pioneers.
