Cherokee County recently issued the following announcement.
The 10 riders representing the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) on this year’s Remember the Removal ride are continuing their training during the current COVID-19 quarantine situation. The ride, which retraces the northern route of the Trail of Tears from New Echota, GA, to Tahlequah, OH, is set to take place in early June, circumstances permitting.
