TOWN OF CLAYTON: Operation Green Light Launches in Clayton

Town of Clayton issued the following announcement on Nov. 2.

We are excited to announce that Clayton is joining our colleagues across the nation in launching Operation Green Light for Veterans, an initiative designed to shine a light on the service of our veterans and their families.

Operation Green Light in Clayton will take place from Nov. 7-13. The Town will launch the initiative with a special Veterans Day recognition event on Nov. 7 at 5 p.m. at Town Hall in Downtown Clayton. We encourage our local veterans to come out and join us in this ceremony.

To help spread awareness and participate in Operation Green Light the Town of Clayton is giving away LED green light bulbs to the first 100 residents/business owners to stop by Town Hall. These green light bulbs should be used to illuminate a local home or business the week of Nov. 7-13.

By shining a green light, you’re letting veterans know that they are seen, appreciated, and supported.

The Operation Green Light display is located in the Town Hall lobby, which is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Town of Clayton’s #OperationGreenlight display also offers multiple informational pamphlets and veteran resource information courtesy of Johnston County Veterans Office.
