District Tournament 2023 in the books! | ANDREWS MIDDLE SCHOOL: (cherokee.k12.nc.us0
Andrews Middle School issued the following announcement on March 20.
Our teams had a great day at the Regional Tournament for District 9. They battled through a fierce sunrise at the shotgun range, followed by rifle and completing the day with gusty winds at archery. Their perseverance prevailed and we could not be more proud of you guys!!
Miss Carley Clark started the day off with a perfect score of 200 in Shot Gun for the High School team.
Blane Gibson, Derrick Rowland and Conner Sentz all started the day off scoring perfect scores of 200 in shot gun for the Middle School Red team. All four individuals advanced to shooting doubles at the end of the tournament. Derrick finished 3rd overall in Shotgun after a Shootout with more than a dozen other competitors who also shot other perfect scores!!!
The High School team finished 1st in Rifle with Boone Parker taking 1st place Individually.
Our High School team also finished 3rd in Archery, 3rd in Shot Gun and 3rd Overall.
The Middle School Red team placed 1st in Shot Gun only missing 3 clays scoring a 970.
The Red team also placed 2nd in Archery, 2nd in Rifle and 2nd Overall sealing their spot to advance to the State Tournament in April.
Our High School team also brought home a very special award that holds great value to us, The Sportsmanship Award. Way to go guys!
As always we want to thank all the Wildlife Officers for their time and energy they put into this Tournament for our kids.
